Coming off a record-breaking win in the same event in 2024, Josie Page was the 2025 overall winner of the Euroz Hartleys 25km Ultramarathon in a time of 6:10:21, just nine minutes off her record of 6:01:03 despite the challenging conditions. Sofie Frichot placed as female runner-up for the second year in a row and third overall in a time of 6:25:06 — incredibly, Sofie bettered her 2024 result of 6:39:55 by nearly fifteen minutes. Natasha Angelidis finished strong as third female in 7:04:23.
Clayton Mott won the 25km Ultramarathon men’s division in 6:20:23 followed by Giacomo Lucivero in 6:26:25. Paul Newsome rounded off the top three in a time of 6:28:54. The event was a heated competition with a record number 67 swimmers taking part in the 25km in ’25.
The Hotel Rottnest 19.7km Solo saw 56 finishers reach the finish line with 17-year-old Caleb McMahon winning the event in his first Port to Pub appearance in a time of 4:53:41. Three-time Solo finisher Jay Prchal took runner-up in 5:01:46 with Benjamin Ruett close on his heels placing third in 5:02:59. Jane Pay was the winning female across the line in 5:52:31. Rachel Field finished as second female in 5:58:03 and Jayde Scott third in 6:14:47.
A Gage Roads Duo made the first finish line appearance of the day with Beatty Park Sharks Clinton Greener and Richard Kerr winning in a speedy 4:32:04. Liquid Surprise consisting of Mitchell Barns and Thomas England placed second in 4:59:44. Closely behind as the third finisher in the event and first Mixed Duo was Dollphins with Amanda Simmonds and David Alston in 5:00:57. Eilidh Milne and Charmaine Ferguson of Sunseekers was the first Female Duo and fourth Duo overall to reach the finish in 5:08:12.
In the KC Australia Team of 4 event the all-male team Shred with members Hamish McCarthy, Tom Hay, Sam Harding, and Tom Scott beat out all the others in a time of 4:52:46. Second overall and first Mixed Team of 4 was Tanham Squad with Gary Claydon, Aaron Maxwell, Kate Bischof, and Hikaru Iwata in 4:55:39. Third overall in 5:05:53 was the Nbps Big Rigs all-male team of Scott Fahey, Brendon Sarson, Chad Scott, and Thomas Webber, while the first all-female team to cross the finish was Chicks with Kicks from Mullaloo Surf Lifesaving Club represented by Tahlee Jones, Isla Barclay, Zoe Tinniswood, and Ruby Smith in 5:55:14.
Subiaco Sports Massage Steam Team returned to the Bhagwan Marine Team of 6 event with another big win, finishing in 4:04:38 with swimmers Adam Lucas, Tommaso D’Orsogna, Matthew Pupazzoni, Jim Piper, Bobby Jovanovich, and Travis Nederpelt. The first Mixed Team of 6 over the line was The Volatiles in 5:01:49 with Elliot Rockett, Thurston Hewitt, Ian Harrison, Jayden Jun Jie Yong, Bronwyn Reynolds, and Aleksandr Bell, while the first Female Team of 6 was PCHF Kids Swim Team with Izzy Baker, Tallis Lloyd, Eloise Sheldrick, Rachel O’Malley-Sudlow, Olivia Hartstone, and Jemima Paterson in 5:14:05.
Mixed Duo Dollphins of Amanda Simmonds and David Alston won the K&L Gates Corporate Cup, the annual competition earning the winning duo/team a prestigious trophy for the office, $500 cash prize, and framed photo to prove the achievement.
And, last but certainly not least, the Fremantle Dockers beat the West Coast Eagles in the much anticipated (and somewhat controversial?) 2025 Derby on the Water. The Derby Cup returns to the Dockers until we see the next match-up in 2026.
