Introducing Swimmer Tow Floats for the 2025 Port to Pub
In 2025, Port to Pub is thrilled to introduce swimmer tow floats as an optional safety aid. These bright inflatable floats are attached around the waist to the swimmer and make it easy for the athlete to be spotted in the water by support crew, event officials, and other vessels on the water. Most swimmers report that they are easy to wear and barely noticeable while swimming.
For the 2025 Port to Pub, swimmers will have the option of using a tow float instead of a paddler. Tow floats will be sold online through the Race Roster registration page so that athletes can practise with them and use them ahead of event day. They will also be available for purchase in person at the pre-race briefings. Floats can be marked with the swimmer’s name, competitor number, and emergency phone number.
